When there is so much space in between - it overwhelms me...

So, in the past month, I have taken just about a bajillion photos and have yet to finish messing with them all, much less uploading them onto here.

My fave model is going to be uploaded again soon- just finished a round of shots with him, as are the DJ's from Atomic Lunch (a radio show here in FL), did Celebration High School's Select Choir singing at Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2x and the Dolphin Hotel here at Disney for the tree lighting ceremonies, have shoots scheduled into Feb for some other bands and people. So busy I will be and that's good.

Got a phone call out of the blue - I missed the call, it went to voicemail "I was eating dinner at the Olive Garden and talking with Spang's mother and I told her I was looking for a photographer and she couldn't stop talking about you, I was wondering if you would give me a call, so we can set something up for the corporate portraits" -- some guy I have never heard of, but who was just eating his pasta and breadsticks , chatting up the hostess, whose son I just so happened to photograph last summer... things happen in such strange ways.. I'll call him tommorow, just to suss out what's going on.

Anyway I had a brill Christmas, photography wise, just got a new tripod and like 5 rolls of 800 film... (my mother- gotta love her :)) got bunches of other fun things, but that's another post :)

Have a Brilliant New Year if I don't post before then :)

Photography - "these photos are the only honest pictures that have been taken of me..."
THAT is probably the highest compliment I would ever need.

WOW.

I was reading an article on Fracoise MarieBanier - [link]

and saw the most wonderful thing said about the man:

"His photos are the only honest pictures that have been taken of me" - Johnny Depp

"He plays with other people's energy like Faust played with fire"

Barnier himself states: " My subjects are not random... I love them like my own heart and liver. My intimite let me get so close to these people, they forgot I was there - but not so completely that they didn't give me their best of their power...

Another friend says " He photographs these inaccessible people, winning their confidence, unmasking them and making them acessible."

I am in awe of the man and his work and if before I died I was able to be even a teensiest as good, I'd die happy.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I am a (ashy) redhead who currently resides in Florida. Having my druthers, I would reside in Aberdeen or Glasgow, Scotland or London. (Wait, did that last one) Things I believe in down to my core : the power of Calla Lillies; the color purple, in almost every shade, was made for me, Sean Bean's seductively deceiving quiet manner & "reahleee wunderful, sort of" way of speaking, (I don't have time to go into it here), the power of good and/or live music. The fact that people can dissapoint you, the fact that those same people can turn around and do wonderful things and restore your faith.

The camera doesn't make a bit of difference.
All of them can record what you are seeing.
But, you have to SEE.

What do you SEE?
