Photography - "these photos are the only honest pictures that have been taken of me..."
THAT is probably the highest compliment I would ever need.

I was reading an article on Fracoise MarieBanier - [link]

and saw the most wonderful thing said about the man:

"His photos are the only honest pictures that have been taken of me" - Johnny Depp

"He plays with other people's energy like Faust played with fire"

Barnier himself states: " My subjects are not random... I love them like my own heart and liver. My intimite let me get so close to these people, they forgot I was there - but not so completely that they didn't give me their best of their power...

Another friend says " He photographs these inaccessible people, winning their confidence, unmasking them and making them acessible."

I am in awe of the man and his work and if before I died I was able to be even a teensiest as good, I'd die happy.
